Need to know
Part of the Hoseason Luxury Collection I chose Glan-y-Mor for it’s size, interior and it’s location, right on the coast in Trearddur Bay in Angelsey.
I booked a 3 night stay for the family so we could enjoy a weekend away for my sisters recent 40th Birthday. Ensuring the majority of rooms were ensuite was a must, and big inviting family lounge and kitchen was also high up on the requirements list, and a sea or lake view was a preference, so when I came across Glan-y-Mor it looked like it ticked all of our boxes.
3 of the 6 bedrooms
With several of us arriving separately there was ample car parking for 4 cars, and despite arriving in torrential rain, the superb location was immediately evident and we were delighted to find the house was only a few steps from the sea.
The bedrooms were all lovely, nicely furnished, comfy beds and nice decor throughout with a slight nautical feel to it. There were plenty of bathrooms, many of which were en-suite and importantly, the first floor lounge was immense, as was the dining room and kitchen.
The main living room with 2 separate seating areas and a real open fire
We’re a family of keen cooks, and within minutes of arriving the kitchen was full to bursting with food and the kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to prepare tasty meals at home, and eat around the enormous dining table.

Out & About
I was only able to stay for 2 of the 3 nights, but the rest of the family stayed on an extra night. During our time there we made the most with a couple of lovely coastal walks, and on the second day we even got to enjoy some sunshine as the storm cleared.

Walking the coastal path near to the cottage
There were cafes and a little shop within close walking distance, and a large supermarket about a 10 minute drive away.
The only negatives of our stay, was the state of repair the house itself was in, with some significant leaks evident in the living room. Apart from that we couldn’t really find fault with our stay and we had a fantastic time In a lovely big house in a superb sea front location.
Exploring the coast on one of our family walks
Glan-y-Mor is a great family-sized house ideal for a weekend away by the coast. The superb location really made it for us and the house provided a true home from home with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s some fabulous coastal walking to be had right from the cottage and we’d thoroughly recommend it.
